From $2 to $6 per sushi plate. But you will probably eat 2-4 plates per person.
Yes, there's a lot in the basement of the shopping center.
For 6 or more, I'd arrive before 5 if you can.
This is the fast food of sushi. It's not the best in town, but it's good quality and it's fast. The service is excellent. They have a new ramen menu that is also very good and fast to prepare.
Food was priced very well, waitress was attentive and kind, everything was just fantastic.
Loved it great prices, food was good, my only suggestion would be the roles could be a little bit tighter every time I went to grab a roll all my sushi stuff was fallout but I would definitely go back
I like the conveyor belt sushi train setup. The color system is a very clever way for the costumer to manage their spending. The colors range from least to most expensive: yellow, light-blue, red, purple, dark-blue and green. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. However, with dozens of sushi rolls on the menu, only the most basic rolls make a rotation. It makes no sense to me to have to ask the waiter to order red and purple rolls off the menu, I expect this for the more expensive roll but not from the middle rack.
Sushi Maru is one of our regular spots, and we like them. I think the prices went up. We usually go here for good sushi at a great price, but for what we're paying now, we may look elsewhere.
I love the food, I love the staff, and the location is easily accessible. But I just cannot get over the fact that every time I go in there the floor is sticky. I do not know if it's due to a cleaner they use or something else, but it is unpleasant and makes the space feel less clean.
All you can eat sushi at a reasonable price! The way it works: grab a plate of sushi that interests you as it passes you on the belt. The color of the plate it is on will tell you the price for that plate. The worst you can do is (per plate and rounding up) about 5 dollars a plate. The sushi is good, so why so reasonable? The portions are about half a roll. 3 to 4 pieces. This will force you to pace yourself, and the pieces can be really big anyway! Its a great way to sample a little of everything. Can't beat the ramen that's about 5 dollars too! Next time I'm in Spokane, this is the first place I want to eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We don't have anything this reasonable back home.
Sometimes I believe that the sushi sits out too long. But haven't thrown up yet. Like their menu and prices. If you want it super fresh though, just order it when you sit down. I also like their bathrooms! Very modern and you don't have to leave the restaurant to use the restroom!
This location used to be much better. The establishment now appears to be unclean, in my opinion and my family and I became ill after eating here. The service also seemed lacking.
Restaurant was amazing. The food was great. Service was awesome. We will be going back. And our server Alex aka Clark Kent was the best.
The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. Great first experience and will definitely tell everyone to come here :)
Great food! Will definitely go again. Slightly slow service for only 2 customers though.
It’s all California rolls with a variety of toppings, or Philadelphia rolls. 4 pieces of this per plate at $4.30 a plate. The convenience of the belt is nice, the wait staff is friendly. Food quality is less than grocery store sushi but more expensive. It’s also pretty frigid inside the restaurant.
Is solely responsible for absolutely ruining my thoughts on sushi. I used to think I hated it and this places helpful staff and easy to use system was the push I needed to become a regular whenever I visit. I would reccomend to everyone!!
Fun way to try a bunch of different sushi with a few items that aren't fish as well. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always nice.
We did the track and it was pretty good. Selection could have been a little more and closer to the end of the night that took all the covers off so the sushi wasn't really appetizing anymore. Service was decent. Atmosphere was very nice with lots of seating and booths plus bar seating.
Since moving from Chicago and being of Japanese heritage, I do appreciate quality ethnic food at an affordable price. So, I'm a big fan of Sushi Maru. The sushi is delicious and well-portioned. The ramen is top notch. And I can always count on their servers being there when I'm ready to order another Asahi.
My favorite sushi in town. It's conveyor belt sushi, you can get some great sake with your meal as you watch the chefs work
Stopped outside on the pedicab. People were happy to load and unload in a covered area here. I am glad they have their own exit door and love to watch the belt of fresh food when the sushimi is cut and placed
It's a decent place. Nice Urban, sleek decor. The sushi however is lacking. Most of the stuff on the conveyor is kinda stale. And it's overpriced for the quality. My advise is to order off the menu instead of just taking what's available. Same price better quality. But if you're looking for a quick fix to your sushi craving then this is a good place to go.
Sushi is fair. Out of udon. Our hot shrimp and hot chicken sat at the pass for 5 minutes while three employees chatted, watched the game & horsed around IMMEDIATELY next to the loaded pass instead of just taking a moment to expedite food. Loads of staff standing around and talking instead of cleaning or even pretending to be in service. Didn’t WA just get a min. wage increase? If this kind of “service” and complete lack of awareness of WORK environment is what employers get, I can see why a place like this looks like it’s struggling. Inkjet printed signage scotch taped on the windows... a bit tacky. I want to be in love with this place. I deeply love the conveyor belt. I love the location. But, watching folks stand around whilst my food gets cold and my water glass is empty... no thanks.
Some of the best Korean food outside of Korea. Awesome sushi and Korean cuisine. The owners and sons are the sushi chef'a and cook's. Seafood is very fresh and he gets hard to get fish like blue tuna.
Decent place. I hate that you have to order the little tacos off the menu instead of them being on the belt. Every single time we’ve been there (15+) you have to order them. I can’t give more that 2 stars because every time we’ve been there the bathrooms have been very dirty and the (women’s at least) water from the sink never warms up. The water is so cold it actually hurts. I talk to a couple waiters about this and they said it makes it difficult for the staff to wash their hands. That’s alarming.
A fun sushi place to eat at, and I'm not even a big sushi fan. You pay based on the color of each plate. Come here with friends every now and then and it's a very comfortable restaurant. It's fun getting to pick your meal off the conveyor belt, and if they don't have what you want, you can order from a waitor and they'll prepare a fresh plate for you.
This place was amazing! It restored my faith in sushi after sushi dot com destroyed it with their poor attempt. Thank you for an amazing time, the crunch roll was outstanding. I will be back!
Conveyor belt style sushi. Grilled, raw, ramen. I try new things every time. So much goodness and great prices. Don't be a scaredy cat, just go get some damn sushi and thank yourself later
I've been coming here for sushi since they opened. Today I tried to bring a friend here an hour before closing for a quick meal- not usually a thing I do, but since this place offers a "last call" 30 minute before closing, it seemed alright- and the hostess informed us that they were closing early because they were slow. The food is great!! But I think this one is coming off my list of regular spots for the poor service and ruined experience tonight.
Conveyor belt sushi is so fun! Sushi was good. Service was fine. Will be back!
It's sushi. It's really good sushi. On a conveyor belt. And there are soooooo many options! I love that they serve it in smaller portions so you can have a wide variety of flavors, even if you're on a budget. And how do you keep track of what you are spending? The plates! They're color coded by price! It's fantastic! And the staff here is always fun and helpful.
Very kind staff, delicious food and good price! Will happily return again
Love this sushi place! Great location, great service, and great sushi!! I come here with my friends whenever we want good sushi. You might have to wait awhile for a booth, but there's usually always an open spot around the carousel. Only negative is they don't validate for parking, but it's not too bad if you eat quickly, or plan on shopping since it's in the mall!
Fresh sushi on a conveyor belt Pick what you want pay by the plate. Excellent variety, you can also order off a menu.
Great sushi for the price. Place was a little cool maybe bring a sweatshirt, but makes sense sushi is on a conveyer. New favorite little spot.
Reasonable selection for sushi and has a menu you can place custom orders on if you don't like whats immediately available. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. A perfect quick bite to eat~ Located in the downtown mall right across from the riverfront park!
The McDonalds of sushi without the hard workers. 50% chance your roll will not be fully cut as this must be too much work. Nothing worse than having your roll fall apart over and over because it’s loose and half cut. My Shoes stuck to the floor, causing everyone to raise their eyebrows with each loud step I made on my way to the unkempt bathroom. Dirty covers on the plates making the sushi appear very old. All the staff laughing and chatting as if everything is fine to the point that they need not step aside from their conversation to ensure customer satisfaction.
This is a great place if you're entirely new to sushi. You can try so many different things. But if you knows what you want and what you like, it's not worth it.
Can't get anyone to answer the phone to order takeout. Been trying for the last 3 months.
Fun and fairly inexpensive. Eat off the conveyor belt or order something specific from the menu, although it can be difficult to find + get attention from a server because it's mostly self serve
First time at restaurant with a combayer belt sushi. Amazing fun trying new things and if it's not on the belt!!! Well they make it as well. They keep it rollin' ,keeping it fresh AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.....KEEPIN' YOU FULL...YUMMY
We have missed good sushi and this hit the spot!
The variety is this places greatest selling point imo. Everything is clean looking, food tastes good, and service is generally quick and friendly. Also a cheap option unless you gorge yourself on food.
Very bad service. Very expensive food. Taste not good.
Awesome sushi place! A definite must try. Their system is easy after they explain it to you and you see the menu. We spent $40 for 2 people including drinks and dessert. One of the best restaurants in Spokane!
This place is quite the experience. Having the sushi belt going by all the whole time is a lot of fun! The quality can vary a bit but overall it is quite good. My wife and I have been four times now and we'll probably go again the next time we're in town.
Sushi maru has other sushi stores in Spokane beat. As a Japanese person who's lived in Japan, I value sushi at an affordable price. And this place offers better food than most without breaking your wallet. I have to also say their ramen is the closest to authentic Japanese flavor than anywhere else I've tried in Spokane.
I never liked sushi before Sushi Maru. But today I went with some friends and had a great time. I tried a thunder roll which had salmon in it. It was really good. The staff was very friendly and had us seated in no time! I may yet go back! There is plenty of space there for groups and they have their own restrooms.
The sushi was good, not next level but good and I would go again. I know lots of sushi places do the revolving plates to choose from- just not my favorite way to order sushi but, again, I would go again. The service was friendly and professional. I also thought it was reasonably priced. It would be cool to see some next level sushi dishes sometimes. Good overall and would recommend. Also- great for a quick lunch by yourself or with a couple people.
Pretty good conveyor-belt sushi. Plate color codes quickly indicate price of the sushi, and cored dots indicate time the sushi was made. Sushi can be special ordered if you do not see what you'd like.
Amazing sushi and fun experience. I highly recommend. Sushi is fresh and quite affordable. The conveyer is an added bonus novelty.
Good food for a good price. Lots of selectionand they ask if you have requests when you sit down. Fun to see all the choices on the conveyor belt go by.
